About Chanda

Chanda Schultz is an artist, engineer, philanthropist, and avid traveler who proudly calls Calgary, Alberta home. Unwilling to settle on a single favorite medium, she explores everything from ink and illustration to oil, acrylic, and watercolor painting. This creative indecision has resulted in an impressive collection of art supplies stored under the stairs and a delightfully disorganized studio in her basement.

Chanda draws inspiration from her travels—even if her husband drives a bit too fast in foreign countries and their Great Dane racks up steep kennel bills. For her, the adventure is always worth it.

Her formal artistic journey began with the Art Instruction School correspondence course, gifted by her father after an infomercial on TV caught her attention in 1990. She completed the program in 1994 and has continued to refine her craft ever since, attending workshops and spending countless hours in her studio, paintbrush in hand.

 

Her paintings can be found in private collections in Calgary and across Canada.
